Overview
Murata’s development of an Open MCU, small size Module solution enables development of an LoRa End Node to be made without the need for an additional MCU. The Stack and Application can both be written to the Module memory allowing a stand-alone design approach to be followed. With the Open MCU design concept it is also possible for the Murata Module to support the SigFox protocol with support of a suitable Stack release. This makes for a small size, cost effective and flexible approach for LPWAN based IoT End Nodes as a result of the collaboration between Murata, Semtech and STMicroelectronics.
Hosted by Adam Chidley, Avnet Abacus' Supplier Business Manager, this hour-long webinar takes a deep dive into designing cost-effective, compact and low-power LoRa and Sigfox nodes with Murata's Open MCU LPWAN module, covering:
- An overview of the module as a hardware solution
- Features and benefits of the Open MCU LPWAN module
- Getting started in the LoRa environment
- How Murata will expand the LoRa support product range in the near future
- Using the Murata module in the Sigfox network
