This new addition ensures quiet, fast and bounce-free switching in a wide range of applications like modern industrial equipment, testing and measuring equipment, inspection machines as well as multi-point recorder.
Panasonic Industry has extended its successful HF high-functioned series of its PhotoMOS® MOSFET relays with a high voltage and high-capacity version in a very compact SSOP housing. The new AQY206GV relay features a load voltage of 600 V and a load current of 150mA.
Benefiting from high-speed operation due to small T-on and T-off, a low on-resistance of typically 8 Ohms and an I/O isolation voltage of 1,500 Vrms, AQY206GV relays can withstand high operating temperatures of up to +105 degrees Celsius.
Features
- Low control current
- Low leakage current
- Stable on-resistance over lifetime
- Extremely long lifetime
- Small size
- No preferred mounting position
- High vibration and shock resistance
- No bouncing and no switching noise
Applications
- Measuring and testing equipment
- Inspection machines
- Multi-point recorder
- Industrial equipment

Light emitted from an LED on the input side passes through an isolator that is permeable to light and is detected by a solar cell. Via a trigger circuit, the solar cell‘s output voltage controls the gates of two source-coupled MOSFETs at the output.
MOSFET relays are typically used in the areas of measurement technology, automation and control technology, smart metering, and in the rapidly growing automotive market, focusing on electric vehicles and e-mobility.
PhotoMOS® relays with a MOSFET output enjoy an almost unlimited lifetime if used according to the specifications. Moreover, they are extremely reliable, unaffected by vibration, and their On-resistance remains stable throughout their entire lifetime.
Choosing the right PhotoMOS® relay is crucial to success and depends on a number of important factors that have to be taken into account – no mean feat.
The free Panasonic PhotoMOS® app (for iPhone & iPad) therefore helps you to choose the right PhotoMOS® relays for your individual application areas. Its clear arrangement and intuitive navigation help the user to quickly find the optimal component.

CC series capacitor-coupled relay in the small TSON packageThe new capacitive coupled TSON MOSFET relays belong to the successful series of so-called Low CxR PhotoMOS®. These relays have an optimized, very low product of C and R of the output transistors. In contrast to the well-known PhotoMOS® the galvanic isolation of the TSON relays between input and output is not optical but capacitive. This offers not only a much smaller design but also considerable advantages in the temperature range, the drive power and the switching times. Thus, the new TSON relays can be operated up to +105°C ambient temperature. The current required for control is typically at low 0.2mA and the input can be operated directly with voltages of typ. 3-5V. A series resistor as required by PhotoMOS® is therefore no longer necessary.
