AMD Xilinx-based System-On-Modules (SOMs)
Ready-Made SOMs Can Shorten Your Development Cycle
Today’s quick time-to-market demands are forcing you to rethink how you design, build and deploy your products. Sometimes it’s faster, less costly, and lower risk to incorporate an off-the-shelf solution instead of designing from scratch.
Avnet and AMD Xilinx System-On-Modules (SOMs), featuring AMD Xilinx Zynq®-7000 SoCs and Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC SoCs can reduce development times up to nine months, allowing you to focus your efforts on adding differentiating features and unique capabilities.
Avnet and AMD Xilinx SOMs Offer the Following Benefits:
- Reduce risk by building your application upon a known working system
- Get running quickly with example designs, tutorials, and board support packages
- Start software development immediately
Avnet has over fifteen years of experience building SOM products, and we’ve helped many companies jump-start their products and get to market faster. Contact us today to get started!

Avnet and AMD Xilinx SOM family of solutions offer a range of benefits that drastically reduce development times and bring applications to market faster than ever.
Shorter Development Cycle
Accelerate products to market by building applications on a known working system. SOM products come with a range of example designs, tutorials, and board support packages so you can start software development immediately.
Cost Saving Efficiency
The SOM product family helps reduce risk with pre-built platforms and example designs. The result? Far more cost-efficiency and the elimination of costly board re-spins. Focus your time on developing the features and capabilities you need to stay competitive.
Perfect for New and Experienced Designers
Designers do not need extensive experience with hardware or any sort of FPGA design to utilize Avnet and AMD Xilinx SOM solutions. With additions like an embedded app store for Kria SOMs, designers of all levels can jump directly to development.

XRF16 AMD Xilinx RFSoC SOM
The Avnet XRF16™ RFSoC System-on-Module is designed for integration into deployed RF systems demanding small footprint, low power, and real-time processing. The XRF16 features the AMD Xilinx Zynq® UltraScale+™ RFSoC Gen 2, with 16 RF-ADC and 16 RF-DAC channels.
An XRF Carrier Card and comprehensive software suite are available for rapid prototype, enabling you to develop application code for the XRF16 SOM that is ready for deployment when your custom carrier arrives. Example code and tutorials demonstrate AMD Xilinx RFSoC multi-tile sync (multi-converter sync) and multi-board synchronized analog capture.

Kria K26 SOM & KV260 Vision AI Starter Kit
The Kria K26 SOM, based on the Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC architecture, is available for both commercial and industrial applications. It features a custom-built Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC device in a small form factor card ideal for Edge vision applications requiring flexibility to adapt to changing requirements. Designed for Vision AI performance, this solution offers 3x the AI performance and 2x the performance per watt versus other SOMs.
Designers are further supported by the Kria KV260, a Vision AI Starter Kit out-of-the-box ready for vision application development. The kit is a compact power-efficient development platform that is ready to use without complex hardware design knowledge. The perfect solution of designers of all levels, teams can leverage pre-built Accelerated Applications without any FPGA experience.
