Yagi Antennas

A Yagi-Uda antenna, or simply Yagi antenna, is a highly directional antenna that radiates in single direction and is specially used in point to point type of communication with frequency more than 10MHz. It consists of multiple parallel half wave dipole elements, made up of metal rods, in a line. Yagi antenna typically operates in the HF to UHF bands. They are very popular because of their simplicity and relative high gain, and are commonly referred to as beam antennas. Yagi antennas are commonly used in TV reception, ham radio, and as a bridge antenna.
