Buffers & Line Drivers

Buffer and line drivers are integrated circuits that isolate the input circuit from the output circuit. They are designed to improve both the performance and PC board density of 3-STATE buffers and drivers employed as memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus oriented transmitters/receivers. This reduces the load seen by the input circuit and enables signals to be sent on PCB or cables over longer distances with higher fan-out.
