RFID

RFID is a short-range radio and standards-based wireless connectivity technology that enables communication between devices held or positioned a relatively short distance from one another. It works over a distance of a few inches up to a meter. The technology uses inductive coupling, a process that transfers energy through a shared magnetic field between two devices. RFID technologies include BT, NFC, Zigbee, Mesh, etc.
