AMD Spartan™ 7 FPGAs

Spartan7 - Mixed Media

The AMD Spartan 7 FPGAs are well suited for industrial and automotive sectors covering connectivity, sensor fusion and embedded vision.

AMD places a strong emphasis on extended product lifecycles. They are pleased to announce that formal support is being extended for all 7 series devices, ensuring their availability until at least 2035. This includes all speed and temperature variations for AMD Spartan 7, Artix™ 7, Kintex™ 7 and Virtex™ 7 FPGAs, as well as Zynq™ 7000 SoCs.

Among the 7 series devices, Spartan 7 devices stand out as the latest addition to the Cost-Optimized Portfolio. These devices excel in delivering remarkable performance per watt, coupled with compact form factor packaging designed to meet even the most demanding requirements. Spartan 7 devices feature an AMD MicroBlaze™ soft processor, boasting over 200 DMIPs and supporting 800Mb/s DDR3, all built on advanced 28nm technology. Additionally, Spartan 7 devices offer integrated features such as an ADC, dedicated security enhancements, and the ability to operate in Q-grade temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C for all commercial devices. These attributes make Spartan 7 devices exceptionally well-suited for a wide range of applications, including industrial, consumer, and automotive sectors, covering connectivity, sensor fusion, and embedded vision.
