Highly reliable and AEC-Q200 certified
Vehicles produced recently are equipped with an ever greater number of electronic control units, typified by ADAS units. As a result, more power supply circuits are required, boosting the demand for power inductors used in those power supply circuits. Additionally, instrument clusters and other information systems are increasingly being upgraded with greater functionality and performance, furthering the need for high-current electronics components capable of driving high-performance ICs.
TAIYO YUDEN offers a robust portfolio of surface mount (SMD) power inductors for automotive ECU applications. These inductors are AEC-Q200 qualified, meeting the global standard for high-temperature and high humidity tolerance, thermal shock resistance, and durability in automotive applications. Built using state of the art materials technology and manufacturing processes, their inductors have improved saturation current and packaging characteristics ideal for addressing the demanding requirements of advancing vehicle technologies.

Featured Inductors
MCOIL™ LCCN Series Multilayer Metal Power Inductors
TAIYO YUDEN’s LCCN series of inductors employ metallic magnetic materials that exhibit excellent DC bias characteristics and low magnetic flux. The multi-layer structure enhances flexibility of profile and footprint, realizing case sizes as small as 1.6 x 0.8 mm or 2.0 x 1.25 mm. These power inductors operate at a 2.6A to 4.8A maximum rated current range and a 20mΩ to 85mΩ maximum DC resistance range. The MCOIL™ LCCN multilayer power inductors offer up to 1µH inductance and are RoHS, REACH compliant, and AEC-Q200 qualified.
