Smart & Mobile Robotics

The global market of smart robots is experiencing a significant expansion, thanks to the advances in the artificial intelligence (AI), that enable the construction of more sophisticated autonomous robots, which can be deployed not only in warehouses, but also outdoors and in a less controlled environments. The autonomous robot segment offers solutions for various industries such as e-commerce, manufacturing, healthcare and can be highly customized.
While the segment of the already existing solutions such as collaborative robots is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32% from 2023 to 2030, there are many new, novel and more complex use cases.
It is expected that self-driving forklifts will lead the market rise in the upcoming years in the e-commerce business.
Other established types include warehouse robots which are expected to grow at a CAGR of 19% from 2023-2030 and delivery robots expecting 30.3% growth.
The deployment of the smart robots requires a huge upfront investment which prevents potential customers from using and reaping the benefits of the autonomous robotics. Companies need to invest in training of their employees to effectively collaborate with the robots, before they can improve the work output.

Application
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are unmanned robots incorporating mobility, perception and connectivity capabilities used to transport and move around loads of various weights and size, as well as other functions. Such robots are usually powered by a battery, typically between 12 V and 48 V. These systems can interact with humans to varying extents depending on their technology and intended use, from operating safely around people to high levels of co-operation and collaboration.
