Better, smarter camera modules

Artificial intelligence is slowly but surely becoming a part of daily life. From applications in complex devices like smartphones to simple camera modules, it is almost impossible not to interact with artificial intelligence. As more research goes into developing more advanced machine vision, Avnet’s Camera with Ultra96-V2 supports proof of concept development for engineers and developers. The Ultra96-V2 is an Arm-based, Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ™ MPSoC development board based on the Linaro 96Boards Consumer Edition (CE) specification.

The Avnet Camera with Ultra96-V2 also features a Zynq 7020 camera module which enables key analytics and hardware acceleration. It also features a C-mount to allow for interchangeable camera lenses. The ISP camera module has several features of its own, including noise reduction, WDR, light source recognition, motion detection, colour & gamma correction as well as edge enhancements. Put together, the Avnet Camera with Ultra 96-V2 is able to produce MJPEG encoded video and is highly adaptable to different live scenarios.
