Surveillance and security are becoming increasingly important. Along with this, it is important that surveillance and security systems become more intelligent. Avnet’s AI BlueBox is part of the Smart Edge Network Surveillance Platform and utilizes deep compression and hardware-accelerated Deep Learning Technology. The AI BlueBox supports 8 video streams at 15fps as well as RTSP cameras and servers.

In order to provide a surveillance system that consumers can put their confidence in, the AI BlueBox aggregates multiple video streams and performs AI analytics on each video stream independently. Its pre-compiled analytics library features face detection/recognition and vehicle/pedestrian detection. Coupled with a network router, the AI BlueBox is ready for onsite deployment and remote access. Avnet has also enabled IoT connect on the AI BlueBox, with works to enable Microsoft Azure in the pipeline to meet future surveillance needs.
