Creating and Using Sub Navigation
There is a sub navigation component available that can be used to easily create microsites. It is already being used on the site in various spots. An example of how the Sub-Navigation component is used can be seen at the IOT Landing Page
The component is different then the other components. It is not a drag-and-drop component like the others. The component can be found in the Components under each site content library. This means that if you are working in Abacus then the SubNavigation component will be in the "Abacus Content Library" " There is a folder called "Sub Navigation" under each of the sites with a template component for the sub navigation.
To create a new sub navigation, copy the template in the appropriate site folder and name it in such a way that it use is clear. The Americas IOT Landing Page mentioned above is in the Avnet Content Library - Components - Global - Sub Navigation folder and the component is called Sub Navigation - IoTv2
To create a new sub navigation, copy the template and rename the copy.
To select the starting page of the navigator, select the page in the Portal Site library
There is no need to change anything else at this point of time. There is a option to set the wording used for the HOME spot. It would be covered later.
