The levels of sophistication being found in the latest generation of toys is quite astounding, with this sector becoming increasingly competitive and calling for ever-greater differentiation. Among the kinds of functionality now being embraced here are the use of NFC communication (for interaction between games and smartphones), plus voice and gesture recognition (for control purposes). Also, there are growing opportunities for an overlap to be made between toys and augmented reality (AR). EBV can provide the processing hardware and audio technology, plus the numerous different sensor devices being mandated in the design of robotic toys, drones and various gadget types.

When it comes to professional gaming, EBV is supporting equipment manufacturers with their efforts to add ever more features and functionality - often in cooperation with our sister division Avnet Displays. As well as motherboards and graphics processing elements, we can also facilitate the development of highly responsive HMIs that will enhance the gaming experience, while also supporting long-term operation (despite rough treatment) and being easy to clean too. Longevity programs can be put in place, so as to make certain that the components needed for a gaming machine design remain available throughout the model’s projected lifespan.
