Ripal Vyas was named vice president, intelligent software solutions for Avnet after the company completed its acquisition of Softweb Solutions. In this role, he works across the company to identify and create opportunities to leverage Avnet’s software capabilities to solve customers’ business challenges and enhance their competitiveness in IoT and beyond. He reports to Pete Bartolotta, president, business transformation at Avnet.

Vyas has decades of experience and industry knowledge. He founded Softweb Solutions, a software and Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, in 2004 and built the company into a technology powerhouse that transforms businesses through the application of emerging technologies such as IoT, data platforms and AI. Avnet acquired Softweb Solutions in December 2018, and the integration of their best-of-breed software for IoT applications, along with its data services and digital process capabilities, strengthens the value of Avnet’s ecosystem and end-to-end IoT solution by making both hardware and software capabilities available through one partner.

Vyas graduated from L.D. College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering and earned a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He resides in Dallas, Texas.
