Renesas RAA210XXX - Switching Power Modules
Based on the ISL827xM power modules, the RAA210xxx series of fully-encapsulated step-down switching power modules are the first “simple digital” modules.
They have the highest power density advance power solution for ASICs, FPGAs and DSPs, increasing available board space and reducing overall bill of material. The proprietary ChargeMode™ control architecture provides fast transient response and achieves best in class conversion efficiencies. The “simple digital” control technology provides unprecedented ease of design with real time system monitoring capability and control via industry standard PMBus interface.
This series is a significant “first” for Renesas, as it delivers high power >20A to 80A power modules to the broad market as a means to pursue the broader customer base with much less support needed.
All modules come in new HDA packaging technology, which allows greater thermal and heat dissipation, thus providing cooler operations over a wider temperature range.
There are two package sizes in this family of modules:
- 17mm x 19mm x 3.6mm (RAA210825/33)
- 18mm x 23mm x7.5mm (RAA210850/70/925)
