onsemi – NCS21xR Series of Current Sense Amplifiers
The NCS210R/1R/3R/4R family (NCV210R/1R/3R/4R family AEC- Q100 qualified) of bidirectional current sense amplifiers makes it easy for circuit designers to implement current sensing in their systems.

The NCS21xR provides a high performance, space saving solution for both high side and low side current sensing applications. The zero-drift architecture of the NCS21xR provides a low input offset voltage (as low as 35 µV) and low offset drift (as low as 0.5 µV/°C). Together with integrated gain setting components, these devices is capable of sensing smaller voltage drops across the shunt, providing a higher gain accuracy (Gain Error of ±1%) and superior temperature performance.
In addition, NCS21xR provide a wide operating common mode voltage range of -0.3V to 26V (up to 30V survival), which allows for superior transient performance to accommodate for the power supply voltage spikes and load dump conditions. All of the above are difficult and expensive to duplicate with discrete circuit implementation, when compared to the small footprint size of 1.4mm x 1.8mm (µQFN) and 1.8mm x 2mm (SC70).
There is as well a AEC-Q100 family available, part numbers starts with NCV21xR.

Evaluation boards
Customer evaluation board for the NCS21x, NCS21xR, NCS199Ax, and NCS199AxR series of current sense amplifiers. This easy to use, straightforward customer evaluation board allows customers to quickly observe the performance and measure key parameters. The PCB comes populated with the DUT, six test points, and one 0.1 µF cap for C1. The R1 resistor is left unpopulated so that the customer can connect either two voltage potentials at the inputs, or their own custom shunt resistor style and value for quick prototyping.
