Intelligent Outdoor Street Lighting based on Nexperia Solution

Reference Design of Power Management for Intelligent Outdoor Street Lighting, based on Nexperia Solutions. Traditionally street lights were simple timer based solutions, this enables lights to be automatically switched on and off depending on various sensor data - ambient light conditions, approaching vehicles or pedestrians, etc. Besides switching to LED lamps, which tend to be more efficient that older HPS systems, using LFPAK series of low-voltage MOSFETs together with high-performance CFP Schottky Diodes help deliver high-efficiency DC/DC converter solution.
