NXP

In this half-day seminar, we will introduce you to the i.MX 9x platform, provide an overview of the new FRDM ecosystem, and present demos on the first FRDM MPU board featuring the i.MX 93 applications processor.

FRDM Ecosystem

Whether you’re an experienced developer or just getting started, NXP’s new FRDM ecosystem offers low-cost, modular hardware, along with software and tools to enable rapid and flexible development. MCU-based FRDM boards are supported by the MCUXpresso suite, MPU-based FRDM boards (Cortex-A cores) are enabled with Debian and Yocto BSPs, Most boards also feature Zephyr OS, providing extensive customization options.

FRDM-Board: i.MX 93 for Edge AI & Industrial IoT

The i.MX 93 applications processor is designed for efficient machine learning (ML) acceleration and advanced security with its integrated EdgeLock® secure enclave. With onboard IW612 Tri-Radio (Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.4 + 802.15.4), HDMI display support, and eMMC storage, this board is ideal for Industrial and IoT applications.

Security & Advanced Analog

Security is at the core of the FRDM ecosystem. With EdgeLock® secure enclave, the i.MX 93 ensures root-of-trust security, secure boot, and cryptographic acceleration. In addition, the Advanced Analog products around the MPU provide enhanced sensor interfaces, ADCs, and power management for optimized energy efficiency in embedded applications.

Memory + Avnet Embedded

Efficient memory architecture is key for performance. The FRDM board supports LPDDR4/LPDDR4X and eMMC storage, ensuring fast boot times and real-time data processing. With Avnet Embedded solutions, you get access to pre-qualified memory and storage components, reducing design complexity and accelerating your time-to-market.
