Topics

Day 1

26/04/2021 – 09:45 AM CEST

Introduction – Giulio Spinelli, Itamar Kahalani, Avnet Silica

26/04/2021 – 10:00 AM CEST

5Gs impact on industrial connectivity and the role of memory and storage (Wil Florentino, Micron)

The benefits brought about from 5G technology – richer content, lower latency, massive IoT will drive a broad range of new solutions and services. But it will also have direct impact on the system resources relative to compute, memory and storage from the endpoint up to the network infrastructure. In this session we will discuss considerations of what role memory solutions play to enable the latest industrial 5G solutions.

26/04/2022 – 10:30 AM CEST

Timing and synchronisation in 5G networks (Aditi Vaghashia, Renesas)

Renesas is helping advance the democratization of Radio Access Networks by providing new and exciting timing products and solutions that enable Open Radio Access Networks (ORAN). ORAN enables use of interchangeable modular technology when constructing communications networks, as well as AI/ML, promoting, among other things, network security and public safety. Learn how Renesas Timing solutions help simplify & standardize migration to ORAN in emerging 5G networks, and how Renesas is supporting and enabling new entrants in the infrastructure market.

26/04/2022 – 11:00 AM CEST

RF solutions to comprehensively support 5G sub-6GHz and mmWave beamforming design (Tumay Kanar, William Qi, Renesas)

Riding on the success of 3G/4G with innovative designs and partnership with key customers, Renesas is now delivering RF components for 5G mMIMO and BTS and any-Cell infrastructure. Beyond offering a comprehensive portfolio of small-signal components, we are now extending our developments to include PA bias-controller PMICs , PA module for mMIMO and mmWave Beamforming integrated solution. Renesas offers a full ecosystem of beamforming front-end products for mmwave 5G infrastructure radios. This talk will cover beamformer and up/down-converter IC offerings with several unique features and state-of-the-art performance and demonstrate the system-level performance through the Renesas reference antenna panel.

Day 2

03/05/2021 – 09:45 AM CEST

Introduction – Giulio Spinelli, Itamar Kahalani, Avnet Silica

03/05/2022 – 10:00 AM CEST

Winning the 5G Race Together (Gilles Garcia, AMD-Xilinx)

As 5G networks roll out, AMD-Xilinx and Avnet Silica share what 5G technology leadership means, covering topics from cutting-edge O-RAN radios to the 5G core. We will discuss the key challenges Operators and System vendors are facing and how we are helping to address them.

03/05/2022 – 10:30 AM CEST

Network synchronisation solutions for 5G Radio Access Network architecture (Simon Cuttel, Microchip)

The transition from 4G to 5G technology is placing demands on the Telecom network for much lower latency and more deterministic data delivery. The key to achieving these goals is the requirement for an even more accurate and reliable Network Synchronization.

In this session, you will learn how Microchip products can provide chip-level and system-level solutions to cover all of the aspects needed to implement a complete 5G RAN Network Synchronization solution.

03/05/2022 – 11:00 AM CEST

Ethernet solutions for 5G Radio Access Network architecture (Emil Piper, Microchip)

The transition from 4G to 5G technology is placing demands on the Telecom network for much lower latency and more deterministic data delivery. In order to achieve this, the connectivity within 5G network elements heavily relies on Ethernet technology for data aggregation. As well as supporting Time Sensitive Network features, our new range of Ethernet switches also provide 5G Class C levels of performance when paired with our high precision IEEE1588/SyncE DPLLs.

In this session, you will learn about Microchip’s complete Ethernet reference design, including software stacks which are suitable for many telecom 5G applications.

03/05/2022 – 11:30 AM CEST

Efficient power topologies for 5G infrastructure including MOSFETs, drivers and WBG drivers (Alessandro Maggioni, onsemi)

This session will highlight onsemi's devices targeting power trees in 5G infrastructure allowing energy efficient solutions for DC and AC powered systems. This session will include an overview of onsemi’s MOSFETs, Drivers and WBG drivers as new trends for these applications.
